This year’s Amazon Prime Day saw sales reach $4.2 billion (up 33% from last year) with over 100 million items being purchased. In its fourth year, there was a strong focus on selling Amazon-branded products including Alexa voice assistants, Fire TV sticks and Kindle tablets, with Instapots, LifeStraws and DNA test kits all being big sellers as shoppers stocked up on Black Friday-like deals in July.
