BILLBOARD IN PERU USES GAS TO RELAY POLLUTION MESSAGE
A Peruvian natural gas company has created a unique outdoor board that highlights the air pollution problem in Lima and promotes the use of natural gas as a lesser pollutant. The board was designed to collect CO2 gas from the atmosphere, which it then processed into powder and used as an ink to slowly reveal, over several days, the message on the board.
BRAVO’S TOP CHEF USES ROBOTS TO DELIVER FOOD
To promote its new season of Top Chef, Bravo partnered with Postmates to tap into their robot delivery service. For a limited time, Postmates delivery robots in Los Angeles were wrapped with Top Chef graphics and delivered meals from local restaurants run by Top Chef alumni. Users lucky enough to snag a Top Chef delivery were also put in the running for a grand prize of one free year of Postmates delivery.
AVIS LETS USERS UNLOCK AND START CARS WITH SMARTPHONES
In Kansas City, Avis car rental has partnered with a company that uses mobile technology for keyless entry and ignition. Rental users of these test cars will be able to easily access and start their car through the Avis mobile app. Avis sees this as the first step to the next generation of an entirely keyless car rental fleet, which gives the company the potential to expand its footprint nearly anywhere.
