DOMINO’S PIZZA GETS INTO THE ROAD-PAVING BUSINESS

As a build on last year’s “Carryout Insurance” program, “Paving for Pizza” will award grants to 20 lucky municipalities to help them repair their roads. Customers can nominate cities that need help, and Domino’s will select the winners. Apparently potholes cause pizzas to fall off of car seats and become inedible, kicking in the carryout insurance protocol. While more marketing gimmick than true infrastructure effort, the brand is promoting the program as “saving pizza, one pothole at a time.” Naturally, all repaired potholes will carry the Domino’s logo.

DORITOS HATCHES GIANT DINOSAUR-SIZED CHIP

In partnership with this summer’s release of Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom, Doritos will give fans a chance to win a giant, one-foot-long Dorito chip. Winners will receive Jurassic World replica crates that include a giant egg from which their chip will “hatch.” All classic Doritos bags will be linked to a digital game where fans can explore the film's fictional island setting of Isla Nublar and rescue dinosaurs.

Sold through Amazon starting Monday, June 18, each box allows superfans to view five minutes of exclusive behind-the-scenes content.
