Over-the-top presentations and unexpected color combinations have been the go-to picture material for a while, but giant-sized food pictures are now producing the sought-after wow-factor response for this audience. In Minneapolis, a donut shop is making donuts five times the normal size, while a pizzeria in Washington D.C. is selling a two-foot-long pizza slice. Scores of other restaurants are taking notice and introducing their own takes on this big trend. Giant food taps directly into this audience’s desire to have food-related adventures.

BMW DRIVES THE SELF-DRIVING CARS CONVERSATION FORWARD
A BMW board member recently theorized that human-driven cars will be banned in dense urban areas by the 2030s in order to help reduce accidents and increase road use efficiency. Fully automated self-driving cars will still be allowed, but the humans inside will need to overcome their psychological resistance to being inside a self-driving robot. To that end, BMW is already working with psychologists to create a car that can “befriend” passengers, putting them at ease in their vehicle. Should make for an interesting ride.

The Coca-Cola Capsule Collection is a continuation of branded partnerships that PacSun has initiated to keep younger Millennials coming through the doors as malls struggle to find their identify among this audience.
