MAKEUP FOR THOSE WITH A SWEET TOOTH
The Museum of Ice Cream and Sephora have partnered for an Instragrammable collection of cosmetics that shoppers may want to use sparingly for fear of running out. Everything in this limited-edition collection pulls its inspiration from ice cream and has been created to look just like a colorful, sugary treat.Packaging, colors and names are all unmistakably ice cream, just not the kind you can eat.
POINT, SNAP, PURCHASE!
Snapchat and Amazon are partnering to bring Snap users “a new image-based shopping feature.” Users will be able to point their Snapchat camera at a physical product or bar code, which will launch an Amazon pop-up window for that product or a similar product. If they want to buy the product, the Amazon app will open to complete the transaction. This is a nice fit after recent Snapchat research found that its users are heavy impulse purchasers.
YOUR PLAYLIST DETERMINES YOUR CLOTHING STYLE
What does your style sound like? That’s what Eison Triple Thread (ETT), a menswear start-up, plans to answer with its new FITS app which recommends clothes from its collection based on users’ Spotify data. Users will allow ETT access to their Spotify account and will take a quick lifestyle quiz so ETT is able to make nuanced product recommendations that users can like or dislike to help refine future suggestions.
