DOMINO’S IS AT IT AGAIN, MAKING PIZZA ORDERING EVEN EASIER
The new “If this, then Domino’s” effort allows pizza fans to sync personal events to pizza ordering. Customers are able to use a dedicated microsite to select which events will trigger a pizza delivery. Users can choose from a variety of scenarios like “If it’s snowing, then Domino’s,” “If I work late, then Domino’s” or “If the Cowboys are playing, then Dominos.” Before an order is placed, users receive a quick yes/no response text message to confirm they want to place the order.
MR. PEANUT GOES NUTS OVER HIS NEW BEER
With the insight that “64% of men agree that nuts are the best salty snack to pair with their beer,” Planters Peanuts has partnered with Noon Whistle Brewing to introduce the limited-edition Mr. IPA-Nut. To promote this beer, the brand is launching a crowdsourced campaign to create the “nuttiest beer ad of all time.” It’s a smart way to keep fans engaged and appeal to a new audience who may have been indulging in other salty snacks with their suds.
AMAZON SHAKES HANDS WITH SHARK TANK
The TV show Shark Tank has been on air for 10 seasons and has helped launch 70 companies. Now Amazon is launching a Shark Tank-only section to sell products from those companies. It’s a smart move to give fans of the show, which has peaked with over 9 million viewers, easy access to their favorite products. Amazon is also using it as an access point to gauge which products sell well and could be potential acquisition targets, such as recently acquired Ring doorbell, a Season 5 participant.
