SHOP FASTER AND SMARTER WITH AI GROCERY CARTS
Caper, a tech start-up in New York, will soon be “rolling out” an AI shopping cart “equipped with sensors, a barcode reader, an interactive screen” and even a payment portal. The screen will help grocery shoppers find items from their list, notify them of nearby deals and promotions, and cross-sell additional items based on what is in their cart. The Caper carts are already in the test phase at two grocery chains, with results showing an 18% basket-size increase due to shoppers finding items that could have been missed or overlooked.
WORK OUT WITHOUT SORENESS THANKS TO CBD ATHLETIC WEAR
Acabada Activewear has become the first athletic brand to offer CBD-infused workout clothes. Embedded into the clothing fabric, the droplets of CBD have a coating of polymer to help protect them from evaporation. The droplets are “released onto the skin with friction and movement.” The CBD effect is designed to withstand up to 40 laundry cycles. The brand says the idea behind this technology is “to fight soreness and promote healing before activity even begins.”
