DOORDASH IS DELIVERING A NEW OFFERING

Restaurant-meal delivery service DoorDash is making a bold move into the convenience-store business with the launch of DashMart, a new type of c-store that offers both household essentials and local restaurant favorites. The app interface will have thousands of items to choose from, but the stores themselves will be dark, serving as warehouses for drivers to pick up and deliver from. DashMart is initially launching in eight cities with plans to roll out to additional markets in the near future.
