Frito-Lay sends kids to space camp
The space craze isn’t slowing down. Through September 1, specially marked Back-to-School Blast-Off Frito-Lay Variety Packs have a QR code that can be scanned for a chance to attend U.S. Space & Rocket Center Space Camp in Huntsville, Alabama. Additionally, to help combat the gender imbalance in STEM fields, Frito-Lay is establishing a scholarship “to send 50 girls from underrepresented communities to Space Camp over the next five years.”
Save A Lot sings a lot a lot
Discount grocery chain Save A Lot has kicked off a catchy new brand campaign featuring a music video directed by Drew Kirsch, who won the MTV Video of the Year award for Taylor Swift’s “You Need to Calm Down.” With its song “Like, A Lot A Lot,” the grocer aims to have shoppers dancing and singing along in the aisles thanks to “the savings and shopping experience.”
Athleta promotes new wellness program
Women’s athletics brand Athleta is launching AthletaWell, a digital wellness platform “for women to help each other navigate the complexities of modern-day womanhood.” The Gap Inc. brand will provide free content to Athleta Rewards members and has teamed up with Obé Fitness, an at-home fitness platform, to offer four free workouts per month to AthletaWell members.
