Dick’s Sporting Goods opens outdoor concept
Dick’s has announced the opening of Public Lands, its new outdoor concept, in Cranberry Township, Pennsylvania. The sporting goods retailer’s latest store will focus on providing an elevated outdoor and lifestyle experience for true lovers of the outdoors. In addition to a rental department and specialized shops dedicated to outdoor activities, Public Lands will offer in-store gear repair. One percent of sales will go to local and national conservation efforts.
Physical meets digital at Hy-Vee
Regional grocery chain Hy-Vee has embraced the renaissance of the QR code during the pandemic to direct shoppers to deals and more. Its new location in Grimes, Iowa, not only features a cake department with live decorating and a food hall with digital ordering, but also branded showrooms from partners like DSW, Pair Eyewear, and Joe Fresh, where shoppers can scan codes to view full online catalogs or find out more about products and services.
Ford expands pickup and delivery
Since the start of the pandemic, some Ford dealerships have been offering options for pickup and delivery to assist customers with getting their automobiles serviced. Now, the program is being rolled out to all FordPass Rewards members nationwide. Members in the top tiers of the rewards program are eligible for complimentary annual pickup and delivery service, making things like scheduled maintenance more convenient than ever.
