Vans goes digital for merchandising

Historically, sneaker brand Vans would create floor-sets for the 500+ retailers that carry its products by building a demo store model every month, photographing it, and sending the photos and plans to in-store teams. The difficulties of the pandemic made them adjust; now — thanks to software partner IWD — Vans “builds out virtual 3D store renderings” rather than creating a demo store. The new process eliminates two to three days of workload.

Walmart partners with Plenty on fresh produce

Walmart has announced a $400 million investment in indoor vertical farming company Plenty. As part of the deal, the companies will work together to create fresh, high-quality produce grown in a sustainable environment year-round. Beginning later this year, all of Walmart’s California locations will start sourcing their leafy greens from Plenty’s Compton farm.

7Now Gold Pass subscription offers free delivery

7-Eleven has announced the launch of the 7Now Gold Pass. Previously, shoppers could use the 7Now app to place orders for pickup and delivery. Now, for $5.95 a month, they’ll get free delivery on over 3,000 items in around half an hour. Additionally, customers will earn double 7Reward points, and those who order at least $10 worth of goods will receive added benefits such as free items.
