Doritos launches Triangle Tracker

Doritos is taking its triangle-shaped tortilla chips and creating a scavenger hunt across the real world and digital spaces. The brand has partnered with Snapchat to create “a custom lens that converts real-world triangles into Doritos.” Challenges on TikTok encourage users to locate iconic triangle-shaped places across the country, and a new Doritos Triangle Island will be appearing in Fortnite. Prizes across the different media range from $15,000 TikTok bounties to a $250,000 grand prize through the Snapchat lens.

Wendy’s shows off “next gen” restaurant

Wendy’s has given the public a first glimpse at its Global Next Gen restaurant design, with the first of the new models set to open in Ohio next spring. The design aims to respond to evolutions in fast-food customer behavior in recent years by creating enhanced customer and crew experiences. It includes delivery parking and a designated delivery pickup window, mobile order parking and shelves, and also a galley-style kitchen to increase efficiency and provide faster order fulfillment.

Walmart+ adds a rewards program

Walmart+ members can now benefit from the recently launched Walmart Rewards program. Members are able to earn rewards and redeem them in-store as well as online—with the capability to track their accumulation on the Walmart website and app. Initially, Walmart Rewards is only available for Walmart+ members on their Walmart purchases, and it’s unclear if or when it will expand to nonmembers. Walmart will also integrate its digital advertising platform with Rewards, allowing sponsored products to advertise item-specific rewards.
