Tyson brings chicken to Twitch streaming
Tyson has partnered with the Gaming Community Network on “Chicken and a Video Game.” The new series, airing for four Friday nights on Twitch, features professional athletes playing video games while GCN hosts prepare meals made with Tyson chicken. Tyson is the latest brand to leverage video game streaming to target a younger audience. After airing live on Twitch, the episodes will be posted to YouTube, and recipes for the dishes prepared on the show will be posted on the Tyson website.
Walmart helps creators earn commission
The new Walmart Creator platform will help influencers monetize their Walmart product recommendations. The platform - which will launch in beta for the holiday season before a broad launch next year - aims to boost the retailer’s social commerce by making it easy for shoppers to move from inspiration to purchase. Creators who include links to tens of thousands of items through Walmart will earn commission on the purchases they drive with no cap.
Best Buy plans experiential remodels
After testing a variety of new store formats in the Charlotte area, Best Buy plans to remodel 50 locations to experiential stores next year and 300 by 2025. The retailer’s experiential stores feature unboxed products on display, digital price labels, immersive smart home displays, an expanded Geek Squad experience, and more. Branded areas from Apple, Microsoft, Samsung, Amazon, and Meta Quest are also expanded and allow visitors to try out products in-store.
