
The robots are coming … with pizza!
Move over, drones, 7-Eleven has started testing a robotic delivery service. More than 20,000 deliveries in, the autonomous robots are scoring high on delivery, fulfillment, and satisfaction metrics. Uber Eats has also used the robots, which can deliver up to four pizza boxes and 50 liters of liquids — and even come with cupholders to prevent spilled drinks. In addition to addressing labor issues, the robots create less pollution than delivery cars.

KFC gets buckets — all year ‘round
KFC recently unveiled the first-ever winterized basketball court to hoops-crazy Canadians. Raptors fans in Toronto will be able to reserve time on the court that features pre-warmed basketballs along with DJs, KFC samples, warming stations, and player appearances. The court will be available to rent for a small fee that helps support youth basketball organizations, and KFC will donate time to community groups for free.

Saks Fifth Avenue is amping up its men’s offerings with a 40,000-square-foot buildout at the flagship New York location, featuring 19 high-end shops-within-a-shop and a new ambassador program: The Saks Man. The new program, which will enlist influencers for campaigns, launches, and in-store appearances, is an investment in both a growing audience of male shoppers and also in brick-and-mortar shopping as e-commerce trends down for retailers.
